BALI VISA EXTENSION – HOW TO EXTEND YOUR 30 DAY BALI VISA ON ARRIVAL
Providing you’ve entering on an extendable 30 day Bali visa on arrival, you must begin the process of extending as soon as possible.
It can take up to 10 days in total and there are two ways to go about it:
USING A VISA AGENT
Visa agents are private specialists who help you through the process for a price. You must do your research with Bali visa extension agents. they will want your passport, so make certain to go with someone trustworthy.
For a reliable agent we are able to recommend our friend Nina who collects the passport from your accommodation, deals with everything and returned to you once your visa has been extended. She’s outstanding!
if you pay an agent to arrange the Bali tourist visa extension for you, your process is to visit Immigration once to offer finger prints and have photographs taken. Your agent will tell you the date and time of your visit and it only takes five minutes.
Using an agent for a Bali visa extension is very common amongst long term stayers in Bali.
EXTENDING IT YOURSELF
Extending the visa yourself consists of three different visits.
All instructions for this option will be served at the immigration office.
THE PRICE DIFFERENCE
Using An Agent – 650,000 IDR* (just beneath $50 USD)
Extending It your self – 355,000 IDR (just over $25)
*this is the charge we pay our Visa Extension Agent Nina to extend our Bali visa on arrival.
I’M ALREADY IN BALI ON THE FREE BALI TOURIST VISA CAN I EXTEND IT?
This is not possible!
When you have already entered Indonesia on a free 30 day visa and want to stay longer, your only alternative would be to depart and re-enter.
We’ve heard there are agents that may get around this, it comes at a price AND IT’S illegal. Our recommendation to you is to play by the rules in foreign countries and book a visa run.
BALI VISA RUN OPTIONS
To renew your visa you simply should exit and enter the country again.
Singapore & Kuala Lumpur are typically the most inexpensive return flights from Bali and plenty of people fly out and fly returned in in the same day!
For those thinking, scooter parking is available at Denpasar airport for just 15,000 Rupiah per day.
currently there is no rule as to the number of Indonesian visa you could obtain in a single year, so for quite a few expats a visa run every couple of months is a reasonably-priced to pay to stay in paradise.
Overstaying in Indonesia
In case you overstayed. For each day you overstay you will certainly need to pay a penalty IDR 1,000,000 per day. As much as 3 days is generally no worry and occurs quite often. you will simply pay the fee at the immigration counter without obtaining worried (remain courteous whatsoever times and say that you overlooked).
Many tourists wind up paying the additional charge (penalty) due to the fact that they incorrectly thought, that the visa was valid for a month.
If you have overstayed for a lot longer then we advise you to work with a trusted representative that will help you clear up the case without any headache or stress and anxiety directly at the immigration office.
WHERE IS THE IMMIGRATION OFFICE BALI?
We’ve always visited the Jimbaran office, although there is also a Bali immigration office in Denpasar.
